While it might seem a bit early to be thinking about colder months with summer just getting into full swing, now's actually the perfect time to plan your vessel's winter essential maintenance.

Getting ahead ensures peace of mind and the best possible care for your boat. At Parkstone Bay Marina, we're fully equipped and ready to provide top-notch services designed to protect your valuable investment throughout the off-season here in Poole.

Unparalleled Lifting Capacity and Safety

We understand that lifting and moving your vessel is a critical step, and safety is paramount. Our facility boasts a large, easily accessible slipway combined with state-of-the-art specialist hydraulic slipway trailers. This powerful combination gives us the unique capacity to safely and efficiently lift vessels up to an impressive 60 feet in length and 45 tonnes gross weight.

What sets us apart? Unlike traditional travel hoists that rely on slings, our slipway trailers significantly reduce the potential risk of damage to new paintwork or delicate hull finishes. The entire process is meticulously controlled, providing a remarkably safe and stable platform as your vessel is carefully moved from the water, directly into its designated storage position on one piece of handling machinery. This method minimises stress on your boat and offers unparalleled security during transit.

At Parkstone Bay Marina, we're not just committed to caring for your vessel, we're also deeply committed to protecting our stunning local marine environment. That's why we've invested in a dedicated, fully bunded wash down facility. This advanced system ensures that all contaminated hull runoff – including hazardous antifouling particles and other harmful substances – is meticulously collected and thoroughly filtered. Only after the water is completely clean and safe is it returned to the bay, demonstrating our proactive approach to environmental stewardship.

Beyond our wash down, we also provide responsible handling for waste oil and filters, paint and anti-foul scrapings, and extraction dust, ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly.

To further support your maintenance needs, our on-site chandlery stocks a wide range of painting and maintenance consumables, a huge selection of stainless steel fittings, electrical spares, and much more. We also have regular visiting van deliveries for items not immediately on hand.

For more complex work, you'll benefit from our resident experts: we have two marine engineers based on site, a dedicated marine electrician, and a specialist marine finishing and repair company. Whatever your vessel needs, our team and facilities have you covered.

We know every vessel is unique, so if you'd like a bespoke quotation tailored specifically to your boat's needs, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team. We're always happy to provide a no-obligation estimate and discuss how we can best support you this winter.
